Tyrone YoungDirector Tyrone Young has established himself as one of the premiere, up and coming filmmakers in the industry today. Over the past two years he has worked relentlessly, proving himself as a forward thinking director with impeccable vision. His debut film, "TRUE ADVERSITY" is knocking down doors all over the industry. It has garnered the 2004 Best Drama Award at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, the 2004 Telly Award and has received a host of outstanding reviews from teenagers and adults alike. Tyrone began his career in Hollywood working with great artists such as the late Tupac Shakur, the late Barry White, Gena Davis, Cake, Jewel, Producer Dr. Dre, Ice-Cube, Luther Vandross and many others. In 1992, he began working as a production assistant in Los Angeles, where his dedication and hard work advanced him quickly in the production world. He became one of the most sought out First Assistant Directors. He formed Ellavision Entertainment in 2001 to fund his own documentaries and to produce films independently. His ability to create and focus led him to direct and produce media for St. Mary's School, Mt. Sinai Hospital, The Guyanese Association of Florida, WorldNow, a pilot for UPN 69 "Twelve," television show "Everyday Verbatim," and many more. His debut film "TRUE ADVERSITY" speaks well of his well-rounded talent as a producer and filmmaker. Tyrone trained as an actor at Weist-Barron and Hill acting studios in Burbank, California, which landed him a few acting jobs in Hollywood. He has several screenplays ready for production. For him the right time is only a few thousand dollars away, a solid production crew and a willing cast. Tyrone has a reputation for making it happen. He is currently working on a documentary in Atlanta, Georgia and preparing for production of his next feature film in June 2005.
